Summer Thunder Fireworks
Altoona-area residents won’t want to miss the Summer Thunder Fireworks at DelGrosso’s Amusement Park in Tipton on July Fourth. DelGrosso’s Park and Laguna Splash are teaming up with We Can Do It! WWII – A Traveling Exhibition for Summer Thunder 2019. Hosted by the Railroaders Memorial Museum in partnership with the Blair County Historical Society, the WWII Exhibit will be open through July 16, 2019, with various activities happening throughout the Altoona area.
The Summer Thunder Fireworks pre-show will begin at 10 p.m. followed by the fireworks show at 10:30 p.m. Click here for complete details.
Central PA 4th Fest
Residents in the State College area have a full schedule of activities to enjoy at the Central PA 4th Fest. The annual Firecracker 4K and 4M races kick off the festivities at 9 a.m. on July Fourth. Runners of all ages and skill range are invited to participate. The Independence Day Parade will begin at 2 p.m. to celebrate local heroes including emergency and military personnel, community groups and more. Watch the floats roll by and celebrate local American heroes – fun for the whole family!
Additional celebrations will begin at 4 p.m. to include a wide range of family-friendly activities and entertainment such as the local roller derby team and the BMX stunt show. Finally, the day will end with an exciting firework show beginning at 9:15 p.m. Rated one of the best in the nation, the fireworks show is the perfect end to a long day of celebrations. Shippensburg’s Fireworks Display
Those who can’t make it out on July Fourth in the Shippensburg and Carlisle areas still have an opportunity to enjoy festivities on Friday, July 5 at Veterans Stadium at Shippensburg Memorial Park. The gates at Veterans Stadium will open at 6 p.m. for spectators to set up blankets and chairs for the fireworks show.
The fun will kick off at 8 p.m. with music from the Shippensburg Town Band followed by the Annual Candy Scramble for children ages 5 to 13 at 9 p.m. The Firework Display will begin at 9:30 p.m. Click here to learn more.
